So happy I caught this before it closes, what a delicious little play (2 shows left)! Wildly beautiful and thoughtfully constructed. It takes a dive into a time where justice is blinded by emotion, revenge, and ambition. During the wiles of the #CivilWar this weary and wary country splintered into many pieces, not just the two. And there are some things that never change. The music is superb and the cast beams true. Big Congrats to the top notch @wanderingtheatreco whose panache and passion are only seconded by their heart.

Oh Frankie and Johnny — I was with you every step of the way. I didn’t know what some of the story would feel like after 30 years, but between the strong eyes and heart of #ArinArbus and the flesh and blood and soul and spirit of @AudraMcDonald #MichaelShannon one couldn’t help but root for these two star-crossed lovers, and the story of #TerrenceMcNally swelled and soared so sweetly. There are parts of this story that take you by surprise, like a New York moment of wisdom wrapped up in wit or sardonic truth — you don’t take any word or action for granted, or sound or smell for that matter.. In the intimacy of Frankie’s apartment as the world continues to spin, two worlds collide, and my heart was happy to have witnessed it happen. @fandjbway #FrankieAndJohnny thank you! 🙌🏽💙
